Dear Voter,

Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Sheriff since 2013. Under my leadership the Gulf County Sheriff's Office remains an agency that you can rely on and be proud of.

My job as Sheriff is to keep you and your families safe. I am proud to tell you that I have done that! Since taking office in 2013, Crime in Gulf County is down 48% and violent crime is down 58% according to the FDLE Uniformed Crime Reports.

I have continued to keep drug enforcement the top priority of the Sheriff's Office. Since taking office in 2013, methamphetamine arrests are up 368% as we continue to fight this drug epidemic that plagues our nation. I have recently assigned a K-9 Unit to the school district to deter drugs in our public schools and I have assigned a school resource deputy to each public school to keep our children safe. I have expanded and strengthened programs that educate our youth on the dangers of drugs use, underage drinking and tobacco use. I have kept the public informed through the agency's website, social media outlets and through law enforcement summaries.

The past two years have been trying times for Gulf County. We were devastated by Hurricane Michael and now face a global pandemic that has significantly changed our way of life. As your sheriff, I have been there with you through these difficult times, I have made tough decisions to keep you and your families safe. Although we have accomplished many things, there is still work to be done. I would appreciate your vote and I will be honored to keep working for you.
